The history of people of African descent is often covered too briefly in schools, or not at all. And when it is, it is boring, outdated or inaccurate information. The absence of this information, and scarcity of knowledge of self, often leads students to become frustrated and find it challenging to take pride in their heritage. Each volume of Knowledge Today magazine serves as a catalyst for conversations between educators, parents and students.
