We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a grant from the Sickle Cell Association of New Jersey for a series of African American Day Parade Sickle Cell Educational Events and Content in leading up to the 54th Annual African American Day Parade in September 2023. This grant aims to educate about Sickle Cell disease and increase awareness about resources and options for Sickle Cell warriors.,
Exciting Educational Opportunities:
As recipients of this grant, we are excited to offer a wide range of digital and in-person educational opportunities. These will include Sickle Cell Awareness events and pop-ups in Harlem, Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan. These events will serve as platforms for promoting community engagement, spreading knowledge, and fostering dialogue.
Additionally, we will release a plethora of informative digital and print educational materials, including videos, booklets, posters, billboards, interactive visuals, handouts, and worksheets that offer valuable information about Sickle Cell disease.
Engaging the Community:
Our main goal is to engage the community through accessible and impactful means. By organizing a variety of literacy events, we aim to reach a wider audience and ensure that information about Sickle Cell disease and other health concerns in the Black community is readily available. We believe that education is a powerful tool that empowers individuals to make informed decisions regarding their health and well-being.

We recognize the importance of community involvement and collaboration.
